Now you know that the time has come

this is the final post. the blog will stay up however.
internships don't last forever. (some even end prematurely)
but here's a final post of posted and unposted pictures and memories.
voila....

hung out/saw/danced/attended parties hosted/thrown/dj-ed by these kids:

had a few of these. (and a few of these nights...)

mad publicity for the boss. and for adrian.
and for modeling in general.

obsessed over The Dress That Wouldn't Die (TDTWD)

obsessed over hot boys. some more deserving than others.

missed two opportunities to meet her. but created my own connection to her. shhhhh.

saw mindblowing concerts; who needs ecstasy when there's daft punk?

three amazing, famous and gorgeous in their own way, people.

my muse-kay krumbalina. stenciled in. big in japan.

MANY nights of chaos, flippancy, rouguishness, and pure debauchery.

met many a cool model. met many uncool models too.

sean read. my idol. troublemaker extrodinaire. damn you. love you.

this all culmulated to a photo in Vogue.

and yes, we win again.

THIS IS THE DAY
Well, you didn't wake up this morning because you didn't go to bed
You were watching the whites of your eyes turn red
The calendar on your wall is ticking the days off
You've been reading some old letters
You smile and think how much you've changed
All the money in the world couldn't buy back those days

You could've done anything If you'd wanted
And all your friends and family think that you're lucky
But the side of you they'll never see
Is when you're left alone with the memories
That hold your life together ... like glue

growing old is just a lie

last night: VIRGINS concert @mercury lounge->max fish -> afterparty @ happy ending->beatrice inn. (whew)

the concert (Lissy Trullie & The Fibs, Frankpolis & The Virgins) was completely sold out, which meant (in regards to the types of bands playing) the crowd was loud, fun and hip.

frankpolis are not the virgins. rather, virginal, sweet boys. actually, i guess they are the virgins then.

i'd never heard lissy's band before and she was absolutely amazzzzzing. 'of montreal' ish. terribly catchy tunes =automatic dancing/bopping.

the virginssssssss

donald has greenish/blackish hair now. his previous color, a bright bright pink, was tres Patrick Wolf but ridiculously cool.
nick's pant leg makes a cameo in this photo.

the crowd kept screaming "WE LOVE WADE" (and by crowd i mean about 4 certain people...!)
ergo, his indoor shade-wearing application. that wade, he's so hot right now.

kathy is MY friend too, damnit.

tracy from nylon (formerly affectionately known as 'knockoff jackson') had the one (read: fluorescent) dress that could showup and standout in a flashless camera shot. x!

seen/heard
-ben cho talking to my boss
-kt auleta watching to lissy trullie & the fibs
-jessica stam getting elbowed
-agyness deyn whistling in liu of clapping after frankpolis

ah, bright young things.

I have to return some videotapes.

last week= we finally shot the editorial that the wall st casting had been for. 3 day shoot, lots of guys in suits, lots of air conditioning to bask in whilst they shot outside in 90˚ heat.

crew....

touchups

tying the perfect power tie.

regarding the final product

"There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there. "

perfect.

do the d.a.n.c.e

tonight=marie claire magazine party at milk studios

charities were involved. for dramatic effect.

photographs of models (taken between 1980s->now) covered every inch of the walls. people covered every inch of the floor. mad crowded. ugh.

DJ-admitted "hipster"/"electronic" music played the entire time. it was hard not to dance to the same tunes i danced to last night at happy ending, but this social scene was all about self-imposed refinery.

some powerful woman at Marie Claire. how did i know her affluent position? she's wearing the most amazing dress from Chloe's latest collection. I don't believe its even in stores yet. lucky bugger.

my Laurennnnnn. whose drink matches her dress and whose face/hair matches up to daisy lowe's. (in my opinion)

another awesome (and awesomely short) dress.

faran supporting the effort to bring the alexander mcqueen scarves back. damn right i'm still wearing mine.

helena christensen being momentarily coy after receiving flowers for her work for this charity campaign.

some photographs on the wall.

oh anna....bidding was up to $750 last time i checked. she's expensive.

irina l's gorgeous doe-eyed photo.

seen/heard:
-james rousseau talking to a tinsley mortimor lookalike (and giving me a hug)
-derek blasberg posing for photos
-liya kebede looking at the photo of herself with her husband
-models mingling: chanel iman, erin heatherton

expand your mind

yesterday=wall st guys casting -> milk studios BBQ!

still needing guys for a story we're casting, the boss and i travel down to wall street's post-wall-street bar for happy hour.

its a bit creepy how many blue shirted guys were in the crowd. american psycho flashback....

the scene was so preppy even the keyhole said YALE on it

but guys were found and off to milk studios......

free beer, red bull and alcoholic-looking bottles of water. ergo a very LARGE diverse crowd.

pah-ha, not tonightt......

how to instantly look like a not-so-macho-man-when-they-tumble-off-after-clutching-the-bull-struggling-to-stay-on. and/or a drunk fool when they flash the crowd (girls mostly). seriously, bull riding is NOT sexy to me.

daria is sexy though. gorgeoussssss

and jamie burke is a stone fox. (and my camera zooms too much) (but for obvious reason!)

le owner of milk studios. super lovely. we grooved to the mexican mariachi band.

cuteeeee magnusssss

my love, my obsession and fellow camera whore/photographer, JD Ferguson. xo!

my new york version of lords of dogtown. there was scruffy, egotistical AND long blond haired boys skating. not quite emilie hirsh hot, but decent enough, for sure.

and this was today:
no work. just hanging with friends.

annex and beatrice laterrrrrrr

hang up the chick habit

today=big casting!

money. power. glamour. success. (the motto for the cab ride to the studio)

the models who couldn't show up were replaced by their books.
(and i wanted to see daisy! she and her boyfriend were epic-ly sweet to me and superfit at the CFDA costume gala in may)

there's a few reasons why she might stand out in a crowd. (speaking of things standing out....)

i love Ford.
i love the girls they use.
i LOVE that this Ford girl is wearing a gorgeous (sorry: a NINA!), unique-looking dress and its from H&M.

my new favorite girl. Alice from Ford. polished, lolita-esq, proper, prim, beautiful, wise all at the same time. serious love to Sweden.

rejectssssssssssssss

former Jane magazine (RIP) employees (aka our lovely wonderful friends/whom-we-all-lovingly-toss-around-the-word-'whores'-to) walk to the hotel where the campaign will be shot.

then lunch at bar pitti->back to work.

fun summer days.
This campaign should be fierce.

over and over

this past week:

st marks church benefit:
-where it felt like a college party and misshapes at the same time.

gold bar:
-where the gold skulls on the gold wall next to the gold paintings are ever so slightly (read-OBVIOUSLY) pirates-of-the-caribbean.

nickydigitals bday party at hiro:
-which was the closest thing i think i'll ever experience to a rave.

in other news: my hair got burned at beatrice inn last night, and misshapes should be epic tonight.

summer dayssss

ahhh we're casting h&m kids campaign which means adorable little munchkins like this girl are all i see every day now at the office. scoreeeeee

honestly, the design between the words made me think of a runway. and such the sign. perfect.

over the weekend: annex, misshapes, beatrice, sway, and beatrice again.
seen/heard--
-erin wasson wearing a questionable hat and smoking
-josh hartnett standing alone
-dash snow buying a beer

parties + working everyday means i'm basically living on coffee. and i wouldn't change it.

this is the day

last night=nylon party at home sweet home-->paper party for JD Fergeson at R Bar-->happy ending.

the girls of the night. actual fluorescent adolescents.

nylon's tracy and jaredddddd. aka 'spacey tracey' and 'thats rad' aka 'knockoff jackson' and well, i have yet to nickname jared.

more examples of florescent things.

the scene at home sweet home. alot of kids slightly slightly younger than me who seemed pretty smug at getting in and/or wearing their oversized hoodies and trucker-ish hats. ugh.

quick stop at r bar for jd's partyy

mickey and jd=love. separately. together. whenever. wherever.

jd's work flashing on the screen. i think he's cognizant of how awesomely fun his job is.

some of the crowd at rrrrrrr

some of the less than steller men at the party. ergo at the table off to the size. burned.

you photograph me, i photograph you. so there.

gorgeous gorgeous people.

seen/heard
-derek blasberg being informed of my infamy. ach.
-COACDgiving byrdie bell the casting card
-michael musto on the phone
-sophia lamar (with a brilllllliant outfit) air kissing a guy. (i get a genuine hug and kiss)

Happy Ending---

eric choses his preference.

late night on a roof. again. such fun. i despretely want wade's jeans.

and more nights like this one.

field trip

yesterdayyy--hung out at designer Patrik Rzepski's office during a model fitting.

lots and lots of ideas for dressup popped up

l'inspiration, thinspiration, artspiration, etc

adrian the gorgeoussss beauty.

standing still and looking beautiful. thats basically what i watched him do. not hard to do on my part. pretty easy on adrian's part too.

patrik, his amazing puff diddy shirt, and the photographer.

i understand the beauty and postmodernism of this shirt covered in perfectly aligned, metal outlined holes....but that said i just wanted to poke adrian thru them. and success was achieved.

more beauty.

adrian having epic fun during clothing changes.

and i LOVE that this is just another day-at-the-office for Patrik.

merci for the visit, patrik! x
